1. Your model rings from outside, so the organiser can sneak him in before the bride catches on.
2. He hands round pencils, rubbers, sharpeners and A4 paper, enough for 20 guests. Boards aren’t included, so everyone needs a tray or a big book on their knees.
3. For 45 minutes he poses nude, in three or four positions, while the group sketches. No tutor comes; he leads it himself and no skill is needed.
4. He changes into butler attire (he’s one of our Butlers in the Buff) and spends the second 45 minutes serving drinks, running party games, naming his favourite drawing and joining the photos.

Expect to pay from £15 per person with up to 20 in the group.

Start at 4pm and the class finishes at half five, or at six on the two-hour booking. Keep the following hour clear in case he’s delayed; you get the full session whatever time he begins. From a Lace Market flat it’s then a short walk to the Hockley bars or Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem at the foot of Castle Rock.

If 45 minutes of drawing sounds short, £50 adds half an hour, split so each half lasts an hour. Add a mobile cocktail class to the weekend and the multi-activity discount takes £25 off.
