The best sangria recipes you will ever need!
Apple and Pear White Sangria
- 1 bottle of white wine (Moscato)
- ½ cup lemon liqueur (Caravella)
- Zest of 2 lemons
- ¼ cup of granulated sugar
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 1 green apple, cored, halved and thinly sliced
- 1 pear, cored, halved and thinly sliced
- Soda water
Directions
- In a large pitcher, combine wine, lemon liqueur, lemon zest and sugar
- Stir until sugar dissolves
- Add lemon juice, apple slices, pear slices and mix well
- Place pitcher in refrigerator for 4 hours to chill and allow flavours to blend
- Just before serving top sangria with soda water
Margarita Sangria
- 1 bottle dry white wine
- 1 ½ cup tequila
- 1 cup triple sec (or Cointreau)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- ½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 limes, sliced
- A few stems of coriander
Directions
- In a large pitcher combine the white wine, tequila, triple sec, orange juice and lime juice
- Add the orange and lime slices
- Add the coriander – remember the longer the coriander sits in the sangria the stronger the taste, you can add just before serving!
- Chill for at least 2 hours
- Serve over ice in salt rimmed glasses!
Gummy bear sangria
- 1 ½ cup gummy bears
- 1 ½ cup vodka
- 1 bottle white wine
- 1 cup apple juice
- ½ cup to 1 cup soda water
- 2 large apples, sliced
- 1 lime, for garnish
Directions
- Place your gummy bears in a jar, pour in enough vodka to cover the bears and allow to soak for either hours or overnight
- Strain the gummy bears (reserve the vodka for another use! You could add it to the sangria to make it extra boozy)
- In a large pitcher combine the vodka bears, wine, apple juice, soda water, apples and limes
- Stir well
- Add more soda water if required
- Chill and add ice before serving
Classic Sangria
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
- 1 apple, cored and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup green grapes, halved
- ¼ brandy
- 1 bottle of dry red wine (e.g. Rioja or Cabernet Sauvignon)
- 4 cups chilled lemonade
- Ice
Directions
- In a pitcher combine orange, lime, apple, grapes, brandy and red wine
- Stir to combine
- Refrigerate for 1 hour (or overnight)
- To serve add lemonade and ice
A Butler in the Buff would make this day 100% better. Get your girls round, put your feet up and be served endless amounts of sangria.
