The Ultimate Hen Party Cocktail List
Hen parties take on many guises from the totally outrageous to the more subdued; but celebrating those few remaining days or weeks of single life is always fun. And however you choose to celebrate, there is generally a certain amount of drinking involved.
One way to give your hen party a touch of glamour is to make sure cocktails are on the agenda. Here are three of our favourite cocktails to help you unleash your inner mixologist….
Sour Apple Martini
2 shots vodka
1 shot apple Schnapps
1 shot ginger ale
1 wedge of lime
Slice of apple (for garnish)
Pour the vodka, apple Schnapps, ginger ale and the juice from the lime into a cocktail shaker. Add a generous scoop of ice and shake vigorously for 1 minute. Strain the cocktail into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the apple slice for a classic cocktail with a twist.
Cookie Sandwich Cocktail
2 shots vanilla vodka (plus more for the rim)
Crushed Oreos
1 shot pineapple juice
Half a lime
Whipped cream
Pour a small amount of the vanilla vodka into a shallow dish, and the crushed Oreos into another. Dip the rim of a chilled martini glass first into the vodka and then into the cookies. Next, pour the vanilla vodka, pineapple juice and the juice of the lime into a cocktail shaker, along with ice. Shake well. Pour into the glass and top with a squirt of whipped cream. Naughty but nice.
Champagne Dream
1 shot Cointreau
1 shot pomegranate liqueur
1 shot fresh orange juice
3 shots champagne
Orange zest (for garnish)
Pour the Cointreau, pomegranate liqueur and orange juice into a shaker and top up with ice. Shake for at least 1 minute. Gently stir in the champagne. Strain into a chilled champagne flute and curl the orange zest into the top of the glass. Hen party cocktails don’t come much better than this.
