Organisation
Perfect planning makes a perfect party. Organise early and thoroughly, and do not leave all the planning to one person, because it can be a stressful job. Have a party planning night with a few pizzas, a couple of bottles of wine and a notebook, then delegate roles and make lists. Keep the lists somewhere the whole group can see them, and set a couple of dates to check that everyone is sticking to their deadlines.
Personalisation
Make the bride-to-be feel really special. Put together a memory book she can keep, or ask everyone to bring a photo or a small memento of a time you have shared and build a montage or poster of your friendship. Matching T-shirts are a traditional winner: they bond everyone together and everyone takes home a reminder of the weekend.
Creativity
Be as creative as you can during your stay. A couple of organised activities give the weekend some structure, so nobody is left hunting for something for everyone to do.
