Life Drawing Classes Explained: How They Work at Hen Parties
Curious about hen party life drawing but not sure what actually happens? You’re in the right place. Here’s the insider scoop on how our cheeky, classy sessions run, what’s included and why hens across the UK love them.
In a nutshell, you’ll enjoy a guided creative session with a gorgeous host, fun games and plenty of giggles. No art experience is needed. It’s the perfect balance of playful and tasteful, in a relaxed, body-positive atmosphere where everyone can have a go.
A peek inside a session

Our charming host sets the tone with a wink and a grin, pencils at the ready. The bride squad is all smiles as the ice melts and the giggles begin. Cue the “oohs” and “aahs” as the first pose lands.

Sketchbooks open, fizz poured and the room buzzing with banter. A confident pose inspires bold lines and even bolder compliments from the hens. It’s part art class, part comedy show and all brilliant fun.

The bride takes the spotlight as everyone cheers her on. Quick-fire poses keep the energy high and the sketches lively. No pressure, just playful guidance and lots of applause.

Bow tie, cuffs and a wicked sense of humour: your host keeps the party flowing. He tops up glasses, snaps group photos and leads games with flair. By the final masterpiece, you’ll be brimming with fizz and pride.
How a hen party life drawing class runs
A standard class lasts 1.5 hours and comes in two cheeky halves. First, you get 45 minutes of life drawing. Then your model pops on his apron, collar and cuffs for a 45-minute mini butler session.

- Introduction and warm-up. Your model kicks things off with a relaxed intro. He explains what to expect and shares a few basic drawing tips. No pressure, just a chance to get comfy and pick up a pencil.
- The poses. Your model strikes three or four poses, so you can sketch him from different angles. Expect standing, sitting and the odd cheekier pose. If your first sketch looks wonky, don’t worry: he’ll share tips to help you improve as you go.
- Games and giggles. To keep things light, we throw in mini drawing challenges and plenty of friendly banter. Your model makes sure everyone is involved and having a blast. Expect lots of laughs and a few cheeky moments.
- The butler takes over. Once the drawing is done, your model transforms into a Butler in the Buff. Wearing his famous apron, collar and cuffs, he serves drinks, plays games and organises group photos. It’s the perfect way to keep the party going.

Why hens love our life drawing classes
No art skills needed
Forget stuffy, intimidating art classes. This isn’t about perfect portraits or mastering every stroke. If your last drawing was a stick figure, you’ll still have a brilliant time.
The ultimate icebreaker
Hen groups often mix school friends, workmates and family. There’s no better way to bond than picking up a pencil and sketching a live model together. Before long, everyone is swapping sketches and laughing at the results.
Cheeky but classy
How many times can you say you’ve sketched a handsome hunk posing in the buff? The playful poses and quirky drawings keep everyone laughing from start to finish. Yet it always stays respectful, relaxed and body-positive.
Make a day of it
Want to mix sips with your sketches? Pair your class with a hen do cocktail class, or go all-out with our handsome hosts from Butlers in the Buff. Our 2-hour cocktail class starts from £35 per person for groups of 10 or more, and everyone makes 3 cocktails.
