History

 

Butlers in the Buff started 9 years ago when Managing Director, Jason Didcott, first dreamt up the idea.  His initial dream became the foundations upon which we base our company philosophy and these concepts remain to this day.  They are to provide not only good looking guys with attractive and toned bodies, but to provide well turned-out intelligent, articulate, well mannered friendly butlers, who are a pleasure to be in the company of, as well as look at!

 

Having spent many years as a manager in the events industry, witnessing a huge number of companies letting their clients down at the last moment and failing to provide the level of service and quality of product they were claiming to provide, Jason, also, wanted to make sure that everyone received second-to-none customer service and a promise from us that we will strive never to let a customer down what ever it takes.

 

Jason soon recruited William Jones and Stacey Lynn to assist him in bringing this vision to reality.  Will brought his knowledge and experience from his background in the hospitality and catering industry, which strengthened the company’s dedication to the highest level of customer service. 
Stacey’s background in PR was the driving force behind strengthening the name and brand, and spreading the word about Butlers in the Buff.  She also brought a feminine touch to the business, and is also still heavily involved in recruiting exactly the right type of men to become butlers.

 

Having created this industry here in the UK and building up our business over the past few years, we all see this as our 'baby' and as such we make sure we take that best possible care of its health; nurturing it to ensure that it grows and continues to be something we are very proud of.

 

To summarise, we all have a dedication to ensuring our customers have the best possible experience when using our company.  We feel as passionately about your event as you do, and we want it to run without a hitch.

We will always have claim to the title of being the first company of its type in the UK, if not the world, and no one can take that away from us.  We also want to ensure that no one takes away our title as the largest and the best naked butler company.

What we offer


9 Years Experience We have over 8 years experience providing charming, scantily clad butlers, and getting it right for our customers.  Collectively our team has over 30 years in the service industry, and we have been able to achieve our reputation by ensuring that we provide an exceptional level of service, as well as amazing butlers.

 

Dedicated Office Staff Our office is manned by a dedicated full-time team, Monday to Friday 9-6 and 11am -3pm on Saturdays, with an out of hours contact for you on the day of your booking.  This means we are here for you 7 days a week, working hard to ensure your event runs smoothly.

 

The Highest Quality and Quantity of Butlers We hand pick all our butlers to ensure that they are of the highest quality. We have over 190 butlers across the country, this means we not only have more availability, but if the butler/s we have allocated to your event are unavailable due to illness on the day of your event, we have enough spare butlers to ensure we wont let you down at the 11th hour.

 

Full Butler Training We have a carefully constructed training program for all of our butlers, to ensure that we not only select the best guys for the job but also that they are continually monitored and trained to maintain our high standards.

 

Police Checks on all Butlers Our butlers are all put through police background checks so that we can be sure that we are sending the right type of person to you each time, and you can be confident in inviting them to your event.

 

Our Experience We not only provide butlers to small privately organised parties but also for a huge array of corporate clients, including Events companies and PR Agencies, who only work with us because of our reputation and our professionalism.

 

Full Insurance We are covered by Public Liability and Employee insurance, giving you peace of mind.

 

Registered Limited Company We are a Limited Company with registered office address, so you can be safe in the knowledge that someone is accountable for the service we provide and that we are not some fly-by-night operation.

 

VAT Registered We are a nationwide company providing hundreds of butlers for hundreds of events every month.  Being VAT registered ensure that we are as big as we say we are. Non VAT registered companies may be small and unreliable due to their size.

 

Please be aware


Since we started back in 2001, a number of other companies have sprung up around the country after having seen how successful our operation is.  They tend to be individuals or small groups of lads operating on a part-time basis from their home, in and around their home town, doing the odd job here and there.  They will of course be cheaper on most occasions, not having the overheads we incur maintaining offices and staff to support our nationwide operation, but as with everything in life “you get what you pay for.â€

 

Website With the dominance of the internet these days, it is incredibly easy and cheap to set up a website and with some glossy pictures and some well worded copy (often hijacked from our site). It can give the impression of a professional business.

 

Do they seem professional? Ask them to send you their quote to you in writing, giving you the time to consider what you are paying for and with whom you are dealing.

 

Are they easy to get hold of? If they are operating from a mobile phone they are unlikely to have an office and therefore little structure to their business.  Are they professionals? Will they get your booking right?

 

Are they a national company? If they seem like a small operation how can they guarantee that they can provide a butler on the day of your event?  If Gieves your butler breaks his ankle the day before your booking, who will replace him?

 

Do they take payment up front? If they operate on a cash on the night basis you can be sure they are a small outfit. There is a good chance they will spoil the occasion by messing up your booking, or cancelling on you at the last moment.

 

Can you pay over the phone with a credit or debit card? If you can pay by credit or debit card then your bank can recover your money should the company not provide your butler on the night. This is a condition imposed by banks upon any company that takes card payments over the telephone.

 

Do they have Insurance?!!!
